This year, both Ammon and Sam were supposed to participate in the primary program. They had their parts all memorized and were so excited about giving them. Sunday morning they were jumping for joy because it was finally 'the big day'. I however wondered how it would really go. Both grandmas traveled to watch them. Just as I predicted, when it came time for all the primary children to go up front, Ammon and Sam suddenly got stage fright and I had to drag them both up there. Ammon finally did sit down with his teacher, but Sam wasn't going to. So, guess what I had to do? Sit on the side with him and do his part for him, which was, "we have been sent to earth in families." Ammon had gathered his nerve enough and did a perfect job delivering his talk, "family members should work each day to strengthen each other." It was a great program. It's always fun to watch the little children do their parts and sing. I'm sure Sam will get up there next year and will do awesome.
My New Favorite Quote:
"All can walk where Jesus walked when, with His words on our lips, His spirit in our hearts, and His teachings in our lives, we journey through mortality. I would hope that we would walk as he walked with confidence in the future, with an abiding faith in His Father, and with a genuine love for others." President Thomas S. Monson

3 now let's hear it from you:
Poor Sam, its scary to be up there and look out over a HUGE crowd. I can see why he was scared. Next year they'll be pros though.
Funny. :) We had a dad come up to help his poor little boy, too. He just wanted his son to shine, but no . . . the boy just couldn't say his part, so the dad finally just said the part into the microphone and hurried back to his seat in the congregation. I thought it was pretty funny. Better luck next year!
I love primary programs!! Bailie loves the spot light but Ian not so much so poor Sam Is not alone.
