My New Favorite Quote:

"All can walk where Jesus walked when, with His words on our lips, His spirit in our hearts, and His teachings in our lives, we journey through mortality. I would hope that we would walk as he walked with confidence in the future, with an abiding faith in His Father, and with a genuine love for others." President Thomas S. Monson

Day Trip

I'm one of those fly-by-the seat-of-my-pants kind of people. Today was one of those days. Cory had the day off, so we just went. We didn't know what we were going to do until we got there. Spending the day at the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Pointe and watching a 3-D movie with the family was worth every penny. Sometimes you just have to do that.
One word of advice though, make sure you eat lunch before you go to the museum. You could spend the whole day there. I was starving by the time we got done. The boys absolutely loved
it.

On the way up there, we just happened to be passing the Mt Timpanogas Temple where Cory and I got married. We were pointing it out to the boys and Sam asked, "who babysitted us while you and Dad were getting married?" Cory and I got a good chuckle out of that one. We told him Heavenly Father was babysitting them. Later on Cory and I were commenting on it and Cory mentioned that actually, they were home when we got married. As my mother so lovingly reminded us recently, we are the ones babysitting them now. God has entrusted us with his little ones to raise and take care of and guide them safely back home. Whew! That's quite a responsibility! I'm so grateful for His trust in us to take care of them for Him. I love my boys so much. I have a lot to learn about being a mother and raising children. There are so many things to worry about these days, all the tempations they will be faced with, will they stay on the straight and narrow, etc. We can only do the best we can and trust in the Lord that He will watch over them. It is so important that we do all we can in the home to teach them correct principles, and to make our home a safe haven where they know they can come and get away from the crap that is out there. I know how much I want my husband and my children to be with me forever. Thank goodness we have a Heavenly Father to rely on to help us with this huge babysitting responsibility.

2 now let's hear it from you:

I loved that talk by Pre. Hitchcock in Stake Conference. However, he did mention that the going rate for babysitting is like $25 an hour. It was a good meeting. Sometimes you just have to go and not know what you are doing. I'm glad you captured the moment. Memories like that are what last.

That dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point is so amazing. You should have stopped in when you drove past the temple. ;) I love that you are making such fun little memories with your sweet munchkins! I need to follow your example and do the same!
