First let me set the stage here: We were all sitting at the dinner table with the babies sitting in their high chairs. There were five chairs at the table with 4 of them occupied.
Now for the converstation:
Ammon in a very matter of fact tone of voice: "We are all eating dinner."
Me: "Yes. Yes we are. As a family, huh?"
Ammon: "Yep, except we need someone right there" (pointing to the empty chair).
I thought Cory was going to choke on his food. We looked at each other and started laughing.
Hmmm! That's the second time he's made a remark to that effect.
And no, I'm not trying to tell you all something. It's going to be an awful long time before that chair will be occupied.

5 now let's hear it from you:
I guess your definition of time is relative. For me, and "awful long time" is nine months, especially when you are pregnant. So cmon . . . let the cat (or should I say baby) out of the bag. Maybe Ammon is trying to tell you something.
Oh, Abby, you stole my great comment. That's exactly what I was going to say.
baby out of box
Ammon is a very observant child. He has a quiet way about him when he wants to be i've noticed. I'll tell you the one that gets me is Sam. He comes at you with that half scowling half grinning face and you can't help but wonder what's going to come out of his mouth. you're kids are the best. Wait until the twins start talking. you know what they say "out of the mouth of babes"
Cute!
If I understand correctly, the empty chair was a regular chair, not a highchair, right?! If so, that could have just meant he wanted a visitor to come and eat with y'all--like a friend or Grandpa or Grandma or someone. So, see, it didn't necessarily have anything to do with a baby. ;-)
Kids say the darndest things! :-)
