It's time. Let's see, how do I say this? We're moving on in the world. Or should I say, we're moving somewhere else in this world. Better said, we're changing locations, relocating, changing addresses, switching homes, ditching old friends, moving in with family, ending one season and starting a new season in our lives. What have I missed? Yep, that's right. A new job opportunity has come up and we are taking it. Yikes! Ya know, I talk big about living in exotic places like Germany or Nepal (I guess you can't call that exotic, maybe just exciting), but when it comes right down to it, I'm just a big chicken. We've been waiting a couple of weeks to find out if we got the job. We've been looking online at houses, figuring out how we're going to work out living arrangements, getting excited at being closer to family, ya know, just the thought of a new adventure. When the call came today, well, I froze. Cory asked me if he should accept the job and all of a sudden I was scared to death. I started thinking how much I love it here, all the great friends and people that I love and I just started to cry, and I couldn't bear the thought of leaving. I decided when it comes right down to it, as much as I don't like certain things, like the heat, I really do love the wonderful people who have been so kind to us. We have some great neighbors who have been like grandparents to my kids. We have a great home and an awesome ward that's going to be hard to leave.
I talked to Mom for a while today and I felt a lot better about it. She told me to just consider it like mission transfer. We will have new opportunities that we can make the best of in our new location. Thanks, Mom.
There is a lot of good in this. We'll be closer to family, and old friends (Paulette, Melissa, Alisa, Thomsen, Natasha, Stephanie , Shaney here we come). There are actual seasons, fall being my favorite that we don't get down here, etc. There is a lot to look forward to and I really am ready.
So, now comes the fun part. If you don't hear from me for a while, I'm packing, de-junking, yard-selling ,cleaning, selling the house, moving. Lots to look forward to. Selling the house could take a while, so we have plans to move in with family for a while.
Oh, and I guess you want to know to where are we relocating? Camp Williams. We'll be looking for a home in the Lehi, Eagle Mt. area. So, no it's not Germany or Nepal, but it will be exciting and different, nonetheless.
Wish us luck!

15 now let's hear it from you:
Wow, and I thought you might have meant you were moving closer to me... I'm family, right? Well, the odds weren't too good I guess, but one can hope, right? Hope the move goes smoothly, I have to say, I hate moving. Wish I could help (cough, sputter), really. Too bad I'm so far away, cause you know I would be there.
Shellie
Congratulations on the new job! (But good luck with actual moving... there's a chore for you!) Now that you are closer to our neck of the woods, we ought to get together sometime.
Oh, I am sooooo elated! I had my fingers crossed for you.
Congrats & good luck! We're dealing with a similar decision, but for different reasons. I hate moving too...we've been in our house almost 8 years and the thought of getting it already to move makes me want to go back to bed :) Where are you at right now?
No way, I had no idea....way to keep it on the down low...lol! Congrats, that is so exciting in so many ways but I can see why you are having a hard time. Having good neighbors is such a blessing! We have some amazing ones and can't fathom the idea of leaving for this reason.
That just puts you a little closer to us!!!
WHAT?!!!!!
Ok. Whew. Not Germany or Nepal.
I noticed that you did not mention the "relative" you might be moving in with. Do they know yet?
I don't envy all the stress involed in the move, but I do envy that you will still be closer to the family than me.
Need boxes? I have one with a dead watermelon in it.
da box. does it help with your packing?
That's exciting, though stressful! Good luck with everything. How soon does he start?
It was good to see you and your adorable growing boys! Love y'all! :-)
I thought that i commented earlier. Weird. Maybe I'm losing my mind. That is great that you decided to take the plunge. You guys are great. If you need any help moving just let us know.
Oh man! I am so sorry. Hang in there sweetie! But at the same time, this may be a huge blessing too. So WooHOO!
been there, done that.
I mean, I'm here, doing that!
Only two more crates to load as we speak. Then come the cleaning! I can't wait to be done with this move.
Yeah!!!! I am so excited!! We could actually do lunch or playdates or anything! I can't imagine the work that will go into getting you here but I can't wait to see you and meet your darling boys!!!!!!
Best of luck! I at least had some hired help to pack up my stuff from Dubai to Nepal, so really, I think your move will be more difficult.
Congrats on your new job and new home. Good luck with all the packing and stuff. That is never fun. Can't wait to hear how smoothly it all goes...This is me sending you all the good karma I can :)
Congrats on the new job! We're excited to have you back! Let us know when you're available for a BBQ or something!
We barely found out and are so excited for you! Congratulations on the new job! Hope you sell your house really fast. We would love to finally meet your boys. Good luck with everything! See you soon!
