My New Favorite Quote:

"All can walk where Jesus walked when, with His words on our lips, His spirit in our hearts, and His teachings in our lives, we journey through mortality. I would hope that we would walk as he walked with confidence in the future, with an abiding faith in His Father, and with a genuine love for others." President Thomas S. Monson

Scriptureland

I know. I'm 'up in the night'. But, I have an idea. What do you think about building a theme park called "Scriptureland"? After being at Disneyland and realizing there is no limit to the imagination, it could be done, right? We could bring the scripture stories to life. Imagine a boat ride on Noah's ark. Or a ride that parts the Red Sea. I can see it right now, the Pyramid of terror. Or,we could wander the wilderness in Old Testamant Land. Imagine walking the shores of Galilee, or riding the storm tossed sea of New Testament Land. Here's one for you. Soarin' over Jerusalem. Then there is the Pioneer Trek in Church History Land (that one could be like the Indiana Jones ride in wagons). What about a ride similar to Pirates depicting the Nephite/Lamanite wars in Book of Mormon Land. There could be a ride called Tennis Shoes Among the Nephites. Instead of fighting Darth Vadar and Darth Mal, little kids would be slaying mighty Goliath or cutting of the arms of the lamanites. The possibilites are endless, don't you think. Do you think it would draw the crowds? I mean, really? If you dream it, it can be done. "If you build it, they will come." Who's with me on this? What are your ideas? Hum, if only we had the money. . .

4 now let's hear it from you:

I love it!! The wagon ride. And water rides are always popular with little kids. :)

You just have to sel your idea to the right people, or start out small...my ideas are more in the food section. Pioneer kitchen food, Lamanite specialties and the waiters wearing costums like the Guy n the movier "The RM" I think it was called...

Karen, I have been thinking about the food, too. We'll totally go authentic from all the different time periods. Or at least from those regions.
Costumes are good, too. Great idea. With a lot of heads, we can run with this and make it work.
So, who do I sell this to???

I think this is a great idea. Last night we watched "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs", If you can make a theme park with sardines, why not scriptures. Now we just need to find a mayor of a tourist stricken town willing to spend all the town's budget to make it happen!!!
