My New Favorite Quote:

"All can walk where Jesus walked when, with His words on our lips, His spirit in our hearts, and His teachings in our lives, we journey through mortality. I would hope that we would walk as he walked with confidence in the future, with an abiding faith in His Father, and with a genuine love for others." President Thomas S. Monson

The Drano Test

Have you ever heard of the Drano test? I hadn't until recently. Don't try it. Believe me, you don't want to.
A friend of mine told me it's a sure fire way to find out the sex of your baby. Well, not only am I bad a keeping secrets, I'm also not a very patient person (something I need to work on) and if I can find out the baby's gender now instead of waiting 20 long, eternal weeks, I'm all over it.
My sister-in-law was also excited to find out and stopped by on their way up for their date so they could be here when I took the Drano test.
This being my first encounter ever with Drano crystals, I was in for a surprise. I had no idea how potent that stuff is.
I ABOUT BLEW UP THE HOUSE.
Okay, not really, but I thought I was going to.
I was not prepared for the chemical reaction I got. My friend failed to mention that it is better to take it outside to do it. Since I didn't want to use any of my drinking glasses to mix the crystals and urine in (yes folks, that is how you find out the gender of your baby), the only thing I could find to use for this test was a cheap pie tin. Without going into a lot of detail of how it all went down, I will tell you, there was a whole lot of snap crackle burning going on. All I got out of this test was a melted pie tin, a couple of blisters on my fingers and singed nose hairs. It took a couple of days to totally get rid of that horrible smell.
That's what I get for being impatient. I guess we really are going to have to wait 13 more weeks to find out what we're having.

5 now let's hear it from you:

I'm just planning on it being a girl. That makes it simple.

i am just as impatient as you are. we can barely wait until 14 weeks to do that first ultrasound! we usually go to "Fetal Fotos". they want you to come at 15 weeks, but I always schedule for 14 and 2 days, so i can HONESTLY tell them I'm definitely over 14 weeks! or that i'm 14 and a couple of days... or 14 weeks and several days. every time we went they were able to tell. EVEN WITH A GIRL!

....and if you have to have twins again, I wish you girls for a change! :)
