My New Favorite Quote:

"All can walk where Jesus walked when, with His words on our lips, His spirit in our hearts, and His teachings in our lives, we journey through mortality. I would hope that we would walk as he walked with confidence in the future, with an abiding faith in His Father, and with a genuine love for others." President Thomas S. Monson

Coloring in the lines

So, I got to color this morning. Yep. Dad has taken the twins to Richfield, and the older boys and I get to hang out here all day. When I asked them what we should do, they wanted to use their imaginations and create. The boys love, love, love to watch movies. If I let them, they would watch movies all day, everyday. But I don't. They know that when mom is home, when they ask to watch a movie, mom is just going to tell them to go play, use their imaginations and create. They also know that when mom is away and dad is left to watch them, they get to watch movies all they want. I thought it was funny this morning when they didn't even ask about a movie. They knew exactly what I was going to tell them they could do, and they were ready. And it was I who got to use my imagination. When I got out the of the shower, they had a surprise for me. They had picked out a picture that I was going to color. All the things I was going to do today were set aside and I sat at the table with the boys watching me and I colored. How long has it been since I've colored! Ammon would ask what color I wanted and would pick out the crayons for me. He even made sure I did it right. He had to point out any spots I missed and both he and Sam cheered me on saying, "Mom, you're doing so good. You're such a good colorer." And, I get to keep it forever, now. Aw, thanks, guys. It's little moments like this that are the most important. Moments that I don't ever want to forget. I hope they don't either.

3 now let's hear it from you:

That is very cute! How funny, too!
My hubby tends to be more lenient about movie-watching than I am, as well! Let the TV be the babysitter, right?! ;-)
