My New Favorite Quote:

"All can walk where Jesus walked when, with His words on our lips, His spirit in our hearts, and His teachings in our lives, we journey through mortality. I would hope that we would walk as he walked with confidence in the future, with an abiding faith in His Father, and with a genuine love for others." President Thomas S. Monson

I've got the bug

Peach Jam - 20 pints for me, 20 pints for my friend, Melissa.

Peaches compliments of someone's orchard in Santaquin and Nephi - 10 quarts + some frozen

tomatoes compliments of someone's garden in Mona - 33 quarts

Salsa - 13 quarts

Beans compliments of Grandpa Gooches garden - 7 quarts

You have to understand, I haven't bottled like this since I was a little girl when I would whine and complain at all the hours I spent helping my mother in the hot, sticky, messy kitchen. So, yes, I'm a little proud of myself if I must say. And, I actually enjoyed every minute of it (although, I don't think I can look at another tomato until next year). It is a very satisfying feeling looking at all those jars of hard work, knowing that I did some of that all by myself.
Thanks Bonnie for all of your help. I didn't know when I started off this week that I was going to spend it canning. I don't think I would have even thought I could bottle anything myself if I hadn't had my sisters' help and expertise. And, especially, thanks to those who planted so much produce they couldn't use it all and had to give it away.

2 now let's hear it from you:

You'll enjoy that all year long, and when it comes time to open the salsa, don't forget to give me a call.
