Cory and I are officially doing it. It is so awesome to be able to do this from home. It is nice to have know I am doing something worthwhile that is helping to further the Lord's work here on earth and in heaven. We are hoping to be able to do some Russian names but have not figured out how to find them, yet.
...he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;Isaiah 61:1
My mom has been doing it for sometime now and has done over 30,000 names (correct me if I'm wrong, Mom). Thank you for your example.
My New Favorite Quote:
"All can walk where Jesus walked when, with His words on our lips, His spirit in our hearts, and His teachings in our lives, we journey through mortality. I would hope that we would walk as he walked with confidence in the future, with an abiding faith in His Father, and with a genuine love for others." President Thomas S. Monson

5 now let's hear it from you:
That is so exciting, Sharon. As of this morning, I have indexed over 26,000 names since the end of May. Bonnie, Jordan and Brandon are also now involved. If you click on Download From, it will give you a list to choose from - and there you will find some Russian records to download. I always get my batches from that list because then I can have a choice. That list will also indicate the degree of difficulty of the batch. I really love this sacred work. Eventhough i only work with records that are written in English, I have indexed numerous Russian families that have imigrated to the U S. WoW
I am amazed at the spirit that comes from indexing. Yesterday we sat Jeremy and Bailee down on the computer because they said that they wanted to do indexing. So luckily, we got a record that was legible enough and they each did 5 names. They were so excited. It is so easy that anyone can do it.
Ever since being back in the Mona ward, I have caught the bug. I am really anxious to get some family history work done too, but not sure how to get past what seems to be a major road block. It is fun to see the kids get excited too.
Family history is the best! You learn some really interesting things when you start looking up ancestors and some of the things that they've done. Doing work for people in your family tree makes temple going all the much better. I highly recommend it.
I just need to take the plunge! I've been meaning to for over a year now. You're an inspiration to all of us!
