With general conference approaching, Ziki and Mom were having a discussion about needing tickets to get into general conference.
Ziki blurted out: "Why does everything have to be so ticketyish?"
I don't know Ziki. Why do you have to be so Zikish, you funny boy.
On another note, we celebrated Ammon's 9th birthday on Sunday, right in the thick of conference. I think he had a good time, considering we got to spend Friday night in a hotel in SLC and attend the morning session of general conference. This is a first for Ammon and Sam. While Sam isn't quite 8, he's close enough we took him with us. Just the 4 of us, Ammon, Sam, Dad and I. We had a lot of fun. While I was hoping Ammon and Sam would love conference and feel something special there, they were kind of bored and couldn't wait for it to be over. Even so, I hope that it is something they will never forget.
I prayed that my heart would be in the right place and that I would find answers to things I need to work on in myself. The third talk of the session was just for me. I need to work on my temper. It's not coming easy, but it's something I know I can overcome with the help of my Savior. Of that, I have faith.
My New Favorite Quote:
"All can walk where Jesus walked when, with His words on our lips, His spirit in our hearts, and His teachings in our lives, we journey through mortality. I would hope that we would walk as he walked with confidence in the future, with an abiding faith in His Father, and with a genuine love for others." President Thomas S. Monson
