My New Favorite Quote:

"All can walk where Jesus walked when, with His words on our lips, His spirit in our hearts, and His teachings in our lives, we journey through mortality. I would hope that we would walk as he walked with confidence in the future, with an abiding faith in His Father, and with a genuine love for others." President Thomas S. Monson

Disneyland - Day 1

We decided back in Feb. that we wanted to take the boys to Disneyland. Sept. seemed so far away. Last week came and went so fast, it's all a memory now. We kept it a secret from the boys all that time and didn't tell them until the morning we got them up at 5:00 in the morning to drive the rest of the way to Annahiem. We spent the night before at State Line - and the boys were thanking us for the surprise of staying in this motel. Lesson learned from telling them our surprise at 5:00 in the morning: They are not awake enough to get really excited. It was a little anti-clamactic. We also had the pleasure of having my brother, Mike and his wife and 3 youngest boys accompany us on our adventure. Cindy flew down with her boys, and Mike rode from St. George with us. We got there just in time to check in to our motel right accross the street and head over to get in line before the park opened. Abby took a lot of time planning out our days and when the park opened, Mike and Cory headed off to get fast passes while the moms and boys headed to Splash Mt. Me, thinking Isaac and Ben were too short for this ride, we went to the haunted mansion while there was no line and got done at the same time Cindy got done with Splash Mt. and Mike and Cory were coming back. So, I took a turnon Splash Mt. with Cindy and Ammon and Sam since the lines were still not forming.

Next, we headed to Pirates:
\
Then Thunder Mt. (I was still thinking Isaac and Ben were too short for this one)

Then Buzz Light Year:

Then Star Tours (first time for me on this one. I think it's one of my faves)
This was about our break time. We ate lunch and then a couple of the boys went back to the room with Dad. Ben and I went on It's a Small World while the others went on the Matter Horn.
Then we headed to Space Mt.

When Dad got back, we went on Star Tours again. So much fun.

After Star Tours, it was time for the parade, but some opted to head over to Adventure Land and Screamin'

Here are the younger ones who couldn't ride Screamin'

Hotel Tower of Terror was next. There were virtually no lines, so we went on this a couple of times.
This one is probably Sam's fave. It took some convincing to get Ammon to go on it. It wasn't until the next day that Ammon would venture a try.
After this, it was time get the starving boys some dinner and call it a day.
