The toothfairy almost got caught redhanded this morning. Thankfully, with a little bit of quick thinking, our oldest still believes.
And so the story goes: The toothfairy must have had a busy night last night. I'm guessing he made his last stop at our house around 7:00 this morning before heading off to his day job. As he was lifting the pillow to see if the tooth was still there, a very excited little boy sits straight up in bed. Without missing a beat, he dives under his pillow looking for any signs that the toothfairy had been there. There stood Daddy. Caught redhanded. In that split second of suprise Dad did what he had to. Being such a quick thinker for that early in the morning, he shoves the little bag of money in Ammon's face and exclaims, "Hey look, Ammon. The toothfairy came last night." It just so happened that the baggie with the tooth in it had fallen down onto the bed below and the toothfairy was able to grab it and leave the money without being seen. Ammon couldn't have been more excited. The next thing Mom knows, the boys are in her room to show her the loot from the toothfairy. Sam was just as excited as Ammon was. The best part was when Sam asked if he happened to see what the toothfairy looked like. "Oh no," Ammon replied. "We have to be asleep when he comes."
This is the third tooth for Ammon. The one right next to it will be coming out any day now, too.

1 now let's hear it from you:
I'm glad the tooth fairy remembered to come to your house. She forgot to come to ours! :) Hopefully she'll "remember" tonight. My kids are used to her forgetfulness, though, thank goodness.
