My New Favorite Quote:

"All can walk where Jesus walked when, with His words on our lips, His spirit in our hearts, and His teachings in our lives, we journey through mortality. I would hope that we would walk as he walked with confidence in the future, with an abiding faith in His Father, and with a genuine love for others." President Thomas S. Monson

6 years

And many more to come!

This is a little late, but better late than never. Cory and I celebrated our 6th anniversary just recently. Since Cory had been out of town and didn't arrive home until our anniversary was almost over, we decided to celebrate over Labor Day weekend. Matt and Abby kept the kids so that Cory and I could have a little getaway. For a whole week, I dangled the little surprise in front of Cory, but never let on what we were doing. As we got in the car to head up to our destination, he still had no idea what we were doing or where we were going. I don't think he liked that so much. We ended up at a huge European resort  called the Zermatt. Awesome! It almost felt like we were back in Europe. This cozy little resort is nestled at the foot of the mountains in Midway, Ut.Aug. 08 071 Aug. 08 072

see, doesn't this look like Europe?

After all the stress of having Cory gone and the move and everything else, it was so nice to get away. We just got to relax and just be the two of us without having to worry about anything else in the world.  We didn't have feed, dress, or bath kids. We didn't have to get up early with them, or put them to bed. We got to do what we wanted, when we wanted to. It felt so good to be in the mountains breathing that fresh, cool air. I've missed that a lot.

So, here's to my wonderful, awesome, husband, whom I love very much. I'm so glad I found you. Happy Anniversary. I look forward to all the years we have to spend together. I'm so blessed to have you for eternity.

10 now let's hear it from you:

I'm sure this means there will be some kind of (ahem) "announcement" soon. I promise not to say I told you so...

um shellie, what kind of announcement would that be? I'm pretty sure I don't know of any announcement coming soon.
We'll be waiting for your announcement soon, though???

Abby, Those smiles from Isaac are precious because they are as rare as gold. You are officially his friend (until he sees his mom again.)

Glad you had fun Sharon and Cory and thanks for the hotel soap. Makes for a nice bubble bath.

Bon, that wasn't hotel soap. If you look more closely, it is from Bath and Body. I thought you might like it. :) I gave some to Abby and Matt, too.

that makes sense. I just thought since it was, you know, that kind of soap from that kind of getaway, that it must have come from the hotel. (wink).

Thanks so much, I do love it. It took me awhile to figure out where it came from...
