Our oldest got to share a scripture in primary today. He's been practicing for two weeks. The theme for Primay this year is 'Jesus is my Savior'. We were told to prepare a scripture that went with that theme. We picked 2 Nephi 2:8
Wherefore, how great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise.
It's a long one, but he was getting pretty good at remembering some of it on his own. Well, the big day arrived and Mom and Dad and Mary (next door neighbor) joined him excitedly in primary for his first debut. When it was his turn to get up there, Mom ran to his side to assist him. It turns out they already had a scripture ready. It was in St. John, somewhere. I thought it was familiar enough that I would remember where and which one it was, but now I can't remember it. Anyway, he stood there so bravely and whispered into the microphone as I whispered to him. It was so cute. He did awesome!
And, we have reached yet another milestone in our house. We went from 4 to 3 in diapers back in Sept. And now we are down to just 2 in diapers. Waahooo! # 2 decided it was time to start going potty. Talk about a piece of cake. It's like he's a different person now, so grown up and definitely loving the attention he's getting. We don't even have to keep on him about going potty. I certainly wasn't expecting this so soon. I guess when they're ready, there's no stopping them. I will gladly take the pee all over the toilet seat and walls, and I guess I can handle the possible cavities that come with tinkle treats as long as it means a smaller diaper bill and one less bottom to change.

3 now let's hear it from you:
I, Pip, am commenting for Bonbon and myself. I am still trying to make up for holding her hostage and causing her to have to drive to slc w/o Rob.
I thought for sure that this post was leading up to someone talking potty talk during a primary talk--whewwwwww.
Awesome on both counts!
Double Congrats!!!
Hey, maybe if they pee all around the toilet that'll kill those pesky ants in the bathroom at least!!! Have you tried urine yet? :-)
Tamster: you are so funny!
I was hoping for primary potty talk too! Congratulations! I can't even imagine changing four or even 2 sets of diapers! One is more then enough for me. I am worried about the whole potty training thing. Brad did it himself so I have no experience what so ever!! I love that you were there for your sons first in primary! It is so fun to watch them accomplish things such as that! I decided that When my children were assigned talks that I would have them write their talks themselves. Then they would not be up there just reading something and would truly learn about what they were going to talk about. Congrates again!!!!
